[1963] He was charged with taking out a mortgage on property he didn't own. He
dissapeared (supposed to have gone to Columbia, MO) and changed his name. He
supposedly was never heard from again. However, Ed Mason recalls a visitor
who appeared every so often and would "make for the bushes if any strangers
showed up".
